1. Overview & Publisher Identity

Welcome to LingoFunLearn ("the App"), developed, authored, and published by Md Humayun Kabir ("Data Controller"). Apple App Store distribution (`com.antigravity.lingoFun`, App ID `6811837962`) is published by Md Humayun Kabir; Google Play Store distribution (`com.antigravity.lingo_fun`) is operated via Walletmix Limited ("Store Distributor").

LingoFunLearn provides structured educational tools across School Learning (Primary Grades 1–5 and Secondary SSC & HSC 2026/2027 Bangla curriculum modules, which are independent digital educational materials currently marked as Pending Independent Teacher Review without claiming official NCTB endorsement), Bangla-to-English & global language learning, 114-Surah Qur'an study & Islamic Knowledge, Bangladesh Exam & Career Prep, and Global Certification preparation.

This policy outlines how data is collected, stored, processed, and deleted when you use our iOS, iPadOS, Android, and web applications at https://lingofunlearn.com.

We believe in data minimization. The app can be used in offline guest mode without registering an account. When features requiring data are used, here is exactly what is processed:

3. Audio, Microphone, and Speech Practice Reality

The application provides interactive pronunciation drills and guided speaking practice with complete privacy safeguards:

• Guided On-Device Self-Practice: Speaking activities (such as IELTS Speaking Part 1–3 drills) are designed as guided on-device self-practice routines with official rubric checklists, prompts, and sample band answers.
• Local Speech Recognition: Where speech evaluation is enabled, speech recognition is executed via the native on-device speech framework of your smartphone/tablet. Audio waveforms are analyzed locally and transiently in real time.
• Temporary Local Storage: Recorded audio is saved strictly into the app's sandboxed local temporary cache solely so the learner can listen back to their pronunciation during the session. Temporary recordings are discarded automatically when leaving the practice screen.
• NO Cloud Audio Uploads: Audio recordings are NEVER uploaded to remote servers, cloud databases, or third-party speech APIs. We do not store, retain, or monetize voice recordings.

4. AI Conversational Tutor (Parrot)

When learners interact with the optional Parrot AI language tutor, user chat text prompts are transmitted securely via HTTPS to the Google Generative AI API (Gemini). The API processes text prompts in transient sessions solely to generate educational dialogue and grammar corrections.

5. Third-Party Service Providers & Content Sources

The application interacts exclusively with the following essential services:

• Google Cloud & Firebase: Authentication (Firebase Auth) and database storage (Cloud Firestore) hosted in secure Google data centers.
• Qur'an Bangla Translation: Sourced from Dr. Abu Bakr Muhammad Zakaria via QuranEnc.com under open educational distribution.
• Qur'an Audio Recitation: Verified Creative Commons Zero (CC0 1.0) audio recordings (reciter: Aaqib Azeez) streamed directly from Wikimedia Commons. No user identifiers are transmitted during audio streaming.

6. Children's Privacy

Because LingoFun Learn serves primary school learners (Grades 1–4):

• We do not collect unnecessary personal information from children.
• Learner profiles and curriculum pathways are managed locally or through the guardian's authenticated account.
• There are no public chat rooms, social feeds, or unmoderated user-to-user communications.
• Parents can review, reset, or delete all learner data at any time directly in the app.

7. Data Security, Retention & Deletion

All communications use Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS). Cloud Firestore databases are secured by strict declarative security rules.

Account & Data Deletion Mechanisms:

• In-App Immediate Deletion: Users can permanently delete their account and all associated cloud data instantly via Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Cloud databases purge user documents immediately upon confirmation.
• Web Deletion Request: Users can submit an automated deletion request via our Account Deletion page. Web requests are processed systematically within 48–72 hours.
• Retention Schedule: Active accounts retain learning progress for cross-device sync. Upon account deletion, all learner progress, profiles, and authentication identities are purged immediately. Operational server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days before automatic deletion.
